Onkyo GX-AiO 150 – The largest Creator all-in-one

The GX-AiO 150 is the top of the Onkyo Creator GX-AiO range and the largest cabinet of the three, which is where the extra low-end authority and headroom come from. The layout is the same true 2.1 architecture: two main drivers working with a dedicated, independently amplified subwoofer built into the enclosure. At Soundium it is the model to choose when one box has to carry a big open room on its own.

Key Features

  • True 2.1 architecture: Dual main drivers plus a dedicated, independently amplified subwoofer.
  • Largest cabinet in the range: More internal volume for the subwoofer enclosure and more headroom.
  • Integrated bass enclosure: The bass-reflex duct runs through the illuminated rear slit.
  • Class D with DSP: Full-digital amplification keeps noise, distortion and heat low.
  • Three power modes: Eco, Standard and Max reshape the output range around the room.
  • True Wireless Stereo: Pair two units and they split into dedicated left and right channels.

Customer Benefits

Bigger rooms expose small systems at the bottom end first. The 150 answers that with the largest enclosure in the range, so Max Mode has something real to work with when a gathering needs volume, while Eco Mode still keeps late-night listening controlled rather than thin. Everything else stays as simple as the smaller models: HDMI ARC for the television, a switchable phono input for the turntable, USB-C for the computer and Bluetooth 5.3 for whoever is choosing the music.

Quick Specs

  • Configuration: 2.1-channel, dual main drivers with built-in powered subwoofer
  • Amplification: Full-digital Class D with DSP
  • Power modes: Eco, Standard, Max (30-step volume scale)
  • Wireless: Bluetooth 5.3, True Wireless Stereo pairing between two units
  • Inputs: HDMI ARC, USB-C audio and playback, optical digital, switchable line/phono
  • Supported audio: 32 / 44.1 / 48 kHz at 16-bit and 24-bit
  • Lighting: LED control ring and bass-duct lighting, set in the Onkyo Controller app
  • App control: Onkyo Controller over Bluetooth Low Energy
  • Placement: Vertical or horizontal, with magnetic fabric grilles for both orientations
  • Finishes: Black or white, smudge-resistant textured

In the Box

  • GX-AiO 150 music system
  • Remote control
  • Power cord
  • HDMI cable
  • USB-C to USB-A cable
  • Quick-start guide

Ideal For

  • Open-plan living rooms where one speaker has to cover the whole space
  • Gatherings, where Max Mode has to hold up without strain
  • A large wireless stereo pair, built from two units

Compatibility

Works with televisions over HDMI ARC, with computers and phones over USB-C or Bluetooth 5.3, with optical digital sources, and with moving-magnet turntables through the switchable phono input.

Pros and Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Largest enclosure of the three, with the most low-end authority
  • Same single-box simplicity as the smaller models
  • Television, turntable and computer all connect directly
  • Scales to a wide stereo pair with a second unit

⚠️ Cons:

  • Needs more shelf or sideboard space than the GX-AiO 50 and 100
  • Bluetooth only for wireless streaming, with no Wi-Fi or network playback

When the room is large and the answer still has to be one box, the GX-AiO 150 is the version that holds up. Find it at Soundium together with the rest of the Onkyo Creator range.
